My Projects
Municipal Spending Dashboard
Last year Ontario municipal governments spent over 30 billion dollars. This money is spent on services and programs that affect each of us every day. However, it is often difficult to analyze a municipality budget as the numbers seem arbitrary out of context.
This project provides citizens with an easy-to-use interactive dashboard that allows easy comparison of spending across categories so you can see if your municipality allocates money to the programs you care most about.

EMBER-ALERT
It seems like every year wildfires are becoming more common and more deadly. Recently we have seen the devastation of LA, and just 2 years prior a fire in Maui cost 102 people their lives.
Ember-Alert was created as a McMaster capstone project. It aimed to leverage machine learning along with live satellite feeds from NASA to detect and predict wildfire progression. These predictions would then be used to send out text alerts to people within the zone, allowing for quick evacuations.

Blood Pressure Buddy - DH7 Winner
According to the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 70% of adults over 65 have high blood pressure. This can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney disease, and vision loss. Making logging blood pressure trends crucial for optimal health outcomes.
Blood pressure buddy was built to provide seniors with an easy to use blood pressure logging platform that allowed seniors to use their voice to track their blood pressure. This project was awarded with the best use of cloud provider DigitalOcean at DeltaHacks.
